A Guide to Dressing for Every Occasion
Share
One of the questions we hear most often is some version of "what do I wear for this?" — so we thought it was worth putting a few thoughts together.
For the everyday
Everyday dressing should take the least effort, not the most. A pair of well-fitting trousers or jeans, a simple top, and a jacket you can throw on without thinking will get you through most ordinary days. Save the decision-making energy for the days that actually need it.
For work and smart-casual settings
A blazer changes the register of almost any outfit. Paired with tailored trousers or a midi skirt, it reads as put-together without looking like you tried too hard — which, honestly, is the whole point of smart-casual.
For occasions that ask for a little more
This is where a considered dress earns its place. We'd rather you have one dress that makes you feel genuinely comfortable and confident than a wardrobe full of options that don't quite feel right. Simple silhouettes tend to age better than anything too of-the-moment.
The common thread
Across all of it, the same idea holds: dress for how you want to feel, not just how you want to look. The two usually end up connected anyway.
